Phil Claud is one of the most experienced and technical coaches in the country. At age 19, Phil became a professional cyclist and joined the USA national team, eventually racing in Europe for five years.
He went on to become a National Team Cycling Coach and also a resident athlete coach for all sports at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs - he later coached in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.
After ten years of professional coaching, Phil moved back to Portland and fulfilled his dream of creating a sports training center for athletes who are serious about training hard and improving their abilities. Sports Lab Training Center, its training methodology and Integrated Sports Training were formed from Phil’s two decades as a professional athlete and coach.
Since Sports Lab opened, Phil has trained hundreds of the best high school and college athletes as well as numerous professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, professional cycling, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), National Lacrosse League (NLL) and every other sport imaginable.
Phil is knowledgeable and extremely passionate about creating programs that enable athletes to compete, stay healthy and stay involved in athletics for the duration of their lives.
